How it works in 3 steps
The whole verification flow lives at the bottom of your subscription settings page. Click into the eligibility card and walk through three short screens. We don't ask for student ID uploads, schedule of classes, or anything like that. Your school-issued email is the proof.

Confirm your school name, country, role and academic level. Hit submit and we send a confirmation email.

Click the link in your school email. The discount lands on your account automatically, no codes to type.

Look for the Student discount card at the bottom
Sign in, head to Settings > Subscription, and scroll down. The eligibility card sits at the bottom of the page. Hit Verify your student status to open the modal that walks you through the rest.
Tell us about your academic life
One short form, then we email you a confirmation link
After the email check, a short form captures your school name, country, role and academic level. There's an optional survey about whether your school has 3D printers, totally optional, totally anonymous, and helpful for us to understand maker labs out there. Submit, and we email the confirmation link to your school address.

One-click confirm and the discount goes live
We send a confirmation email to the school-issued address you entered. Click the link, your account is flagged as verified, and the discount tier is decided automatically based on whether your school is a paying SimplyPrint customer.
The discount applies straight to your invoice
No coupon codes, no manual claim
Once you click the confirmation link in your school email, the discount is live on your account. If you're on Basic or Pro already, your next invoice is reduced by the discount amount. If you're on the free plan, the discount is waiting for you the moment you upgrade. The Basic and Pro plan picker shows the discounted price next to the regular one.
What if my school is not on the list?
We verify your student status by checking your school's email domain against an open, community-maintained list of educational institutions. The list covers thousands of schools worldwide, but if yours is not there yet, anyone can request it. The community-list maintainers usually review within a few days, and once your school is added, every student there can verify in seconds. Renew it for up to 5 years
The discount runs annually, renewable while you're still a student
Each verification gives you 12 months. About 30 days before it expires, the eligibility card flips to a re-verify state, same flow as the first time. You can renew the discount up to 5 times total, so the program can run for the full length of most degree programmes.
Who is this for?
Eligible students include high-school, undergraduate, postgraduate and community college students enrolled at an accredited institution. Self-taught learners and bootcamp students need to verify their institution against our recognised-school list before the discount unlocks.
If you're a teacher, lab manager, or IT admin setting up SimplyPrint for a classroom, the School plan is built for that instead - different program, with classroom features like student print queues, quotas, and teacher-review workflows. The two don't overlap: if you're a student at a school that already has a School plan, you can use both (your own personal discounted account on the side, plus access through your school's account).
Bring friends, earn credit
Every SimplyPrint account comes with a personal referral link. Share it with classmates who'd benefit, and when they sign up and start paying, you get credit applied to your next invoice. The credit stacks with your student discount: you save 40% (or 60%) on your own subscription, and earn credit on top of that for every paying friend.
